The photographic series “Torn Landscapes” originates from the idea to archive a potentially infinite number of looks as many as are the images taking up the pages of geography, tourism, landscape books, scattered around the whole world. Tearing then full-page pictures of places, maintaining intact the dimension of the book from which these pictures come and reform the image split in two parts (the two book’s sides) to shoot them again in black and white. The idea to cross a space only through a look (the photographic eye is the mind eye) on paper places already worn out contains inside a prospective of movement perhaps even more limitless of the physical presence therein. The picture becomes the witness of an ancient desire for a 360 degrees view on all spaces existing in the world. Torn Landscapes America, Torn Landscapes Italy, Torn Landscapes Netherlands, up to recreating its own archive of the entire world homemade! Sole neutral and still virgin place remains the white of the wall whose glimpse is caught on the background of the torn image.

La serie fotografica 'Paesaggi strappati', nasce dall'idea di archiviare un numero potenzialmente infinito di sguardi quante sono le immagini che occupano le pagine di libri di geografia, di turismo, di paesaggio, sparsi in tutto il mondo.
Strappare quindi immagini di luoghi a tutta pagina, mantenendo intatta la dimensione del libro da cui provengono e ricomporre l'immagine divisa in due parti (le due coste del libro) per poi rifotografarla in bianco e nero. L'idea di attraversare uno spazio solo attraverso uno sguardo (l'occhio fotografico è l'occhio mentale) su luoghi cartacei già consumati, contiene all'interno un potenziale di spostamento forse ancora più illimitato della presenza fisica in essi. La fotografia diventa testimone di un desiderio antico per una vista a 360 gradi su tutti gli spazi esistenti al mondo. Paesaggi strappati America, Paesaggi strappati Italia, Paesaggi strappati Olanda, fino a ricreare il proprio archivio di mondo fatto in casa! Unico luogo neutro e ancora vergine, rimane il bianco del muro che si intravede sul fondo dell'immagine strappata.
